Guildford City won the toss and opted to field, the Godalming captain was eager to set a total. The opening pair did well, however each lost a wicket on the last ball they faced! The middle order pairs , Greg and Luke, Lucas and Jack, Matthew and our second Jack pushed onwards but were loosing more wickets. We had reached 259 by now. The final pair Oli and Finn, batted very well despite losing two wickets pushed Godalming on to reach 280 for 9.

Guildford set about chasing our total and at the end of 4 overs had only just edged ahead of Godalming at the same point whilst also loosing two wickets. The second pair reached 250 loosing another wicket. Godalming kept battling but despite taking wickets including one in the final over they couldn’t stop Guildford reaching 333 for 5.
