The Government has recently launched a consultation on reforming the role of statutory consultees in the planning system, of whom Sport England is one. And in a nutshell, if Sport England loses their role, we lose a vital safeguard.

These proposed changes could ultimately see more green field sites put at risk of development. It’s therefore important that our voices are heard regarding this, to ensure the safe future of both Godalming cricket club, as well as those we compete against.
