Welcome to Junior cricket at Godalming CC in 2025! We look forward to seeing lots of old and many new faces again this season.

We began with indoor nets on 2nd March for our older age groups and will follow on with outdoor coaching from w/c 21st April. Please read the below detail carefully for dates and timings for each age group, as well as information on how to register and book onto sessions.

U6, U7, U8 and U9 coaching will be on Saturday mornings, U11s on Thursday evenings and U10/U12/U13/U14 will be on Friday evenings at the specific times below. Our U16/U17s squad are encouraged to train with our seniors on Thursday nights supplemented by additional technique based sessions with Tim on other nights of the week.

Matches are already on the website to view but there may be a few changes between now and the beginning of the season. There are lots of opportunities this season and the whole coaching and management team are really excited to see how we can improve and compete this season.

Our minis (U6-U9s) section is extremely popular and we have had to restrict numbers in the last couple of years. We expect this season to be no different and therefore we suggest any current members act quickly and get signed up this week. The week following this email, I will then open registration and post the information onto the website for new members to sign up. When we’re full, we’re full – please don’t miss out.

Please make sure you follow the process outlined below to ensure you have paid membership, registered yourself as a parent and your child as a player in the relevant squads and have booked into the correct sessions each week. Each session will run for an hour and the costs are included as part of the membership/coaching fees (not including Indoor Nets).

**Session Timings**

Minis Training

**Saturday 26th April 2025 for 12 weeks**

o U6 & U7s @ 9am (school year 1&2)

o U8s & U9s @ 10am (school year 3&4)

(spaces are strictly limited so register and make payment EARLY to avoid disappointment)

Junior Training

**Thursday and Fridays 24th/25th April 2025 for 12 weeks**

o U11s – Thursdays @ 5.30pm (year 6)

o U10s & U12s – Fridays @ 5.30pm (year 5 & 7)

o U13 & U14s – Fridays @ 6.30pm (year 8 & 9)

- U16s and U17s are encouraged to train on Thursday nights with the Seniors especially as many will be vying for places in the 2nd and 3rd XI this season. This will be supplemented with regular technical sessions on either Monday or Wednesday evenings when coaches are available. Please speak to Tim Ireland about being informed about these sessions via Whatsapp/Pitchero.

- We have not entered an U15s League Team this season due to limited numbers. However, we do encourage our U15s to train alongside the U16/17 squad and push for places whilst playing up a year or two.

**How to Register**

o Your child must be registered on the website (www.godalmingcc.co.uk). We will not be able to take any “walk-ins” on the day.

o New members must create a new profile and returning members must ensure your account is live and up to date - go www.godalmingcc.co.uk and log in, where you will find details of teams, matches, events and your own parent profile. Ensure your communication settings are up to date so you get all the latest info.

o Your Profile - please complete the initial registration in the parent's name. Your child's profile follows in the next steps. Ensure you and your child(ren) have the correct roles assigned including you as a "parent and club member" and your child as a "player" within the correct team or teams. Go to "Your Account", go to "Membership", select Godalming Cricket Club, then "Manage Roles" for you and your child if you are updating from previous seasons.

o Ensure you have given us permission to see your details including contact email and phone number, plus your child’s DOB to help ensure they are in the correct squads.

o All sessions will be by BOOKING ONLY. To do this, you need to set “available” for the relevant training session which can be found using the Pitchero App or by using the calendar on the website here - www.godalmingcc.co.uk/calendar. Please ensure you book into the correct session specific to your age group. If you don’t book in you will not be able to join in due to the limited numbers we can cater for in each session.

o One up-front payment of £105 will cover the 12 weeks of outdoor coaching and allow for selection in matches (this also includes your child’s club membership). All fixtures are now live on the website but may change between now and the beginning of the season.

o You must make payment online - we will not be taking cash or card payment. To do this please visit the website - www.godalmingcc.co.uk/payments - click on “JUNIOR ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTION PLUS 12 WEEK COACHING PACKAGE 2025”.

o Before attending a session;

- Ensure you’ve signed up on the website, paid your Junior Annual Subscription and booked onto the relevant session.

- Bring your own water bottle and any cricket kit you may have, INCLUDING a cricket ball for those age groups requiring them in the nets (hardball only). We also recommend bringing a box.

**Godalming Dynamos/Sparks - Girls' Section**

We continue to look for someone to run a Girl's section or specific age group team so please reach out if you would like to get this off the ground this season.

**Volunteers required**

We ALWAYS need extra help; from umpiring and scoring, to team management and crowd control in the nets so please offer your time at some point this season. We are a volunteer run club and we would love to have some new faces join the team this season. Speak to the individual team managers about how you could get involved or drop me an email. You don’t need to know cricket to get involved.
